Vasco Travel, a well known name that represents commitment and excellence in customer satisfaction, was incorporated in 1990 as a specialist in handling inbound tourists from Italy. Within a short span of 3 years the company was awarded by the Department of Tourism, Government of India a first prize (in Category 3) for its services. The last few years have seen the average turnover of the company increased by 29%. Vasco Travel is owned and managed by the Abbot Family which has been a part of the Indian Tourism Industry since three generations, or to put it rightly, since the inception of Tourism in India post-independence. The Chairman, Mr. A.K Abbott, retired from Indian Airlines as Commercial Manager North India. His son and Managing Director, Mr. C.K Abbott has been in the Indian Travel Industry since 1975. It was only natural for the young and dynamic Mr. Vikas Abbott, Director - Sales & Marketing, to follow in his father’s footsteps and carry on the family legacy, drawing upon the rich, varied and long experience of his family.

The company has grown, not only in terms of turnover and revenues, but also in terms of the product variety. Besides handling Inbound Tourism since inception, the company also offers International & Domestic ticketing, Visa & Passport facilitation services, MICE services and car rental services. The company specializes in assisting the US Government for its various funded projects in India by providing the entire gamut of services that cater to their needs comprehensively.

On the Inbound Tourism front, the company has the expertise to organize tours not only in India but in the entire sub-continent. Though not exhaustive, some of the tour themes are:

Social Contribution
Vasco Travel not only pursues excellence in the professional ambience but also on the social front. The company has been associated with SOS Children's Villages of India, a non- profit organization working for the cause of orphaned children and disadvantaged families in India. Since its inception in 1964, SOS-India has expanded its services for children at a rapid pace. Today it reaches out to many thousands of children and families everyday, through 39 Children Villages and 122 allied and community projects. Vasco Travels has been consistently helping these social causes by way of an annual contribution from its gross earnings – a contribution that has been growing every year.
